As a recent professional, I needed to start building a wardrobe to match my daily career. As most girls who headed off off to college, I only wanted the tall 4 in heels. I believe me, I wore them, for years. I love those shoes, and absolutely did not throw them out, but I did come to the realization that I needed more practical shoes for the office. 4 inch heels are not the best decision for your feet, and knowing that I would need to wear heels most days I know I needed to have shorter heels.
I have NEVER been a fan of “kitten heels”, I feel like what is the point of a heel if it’s only an inch or less. When I was shopping at Nordstrom Rack I found 4 pairs of great short heels to mix in with some of my existing heels, wedges, and flats.
The Tory Burch Pumps are SO comfortable, they feel like I am wearing flats. I love how classic they looks and they can really change the look of an outfit over regular heels or flats. I got these in Black and Royal Tan.
The Sam Edelman Okala Dress pump is a basic heel that’s on the shorter side. I love that I feel elegant when I wear them! They are the type of shoe I can wear with a suit, or with a fun skirt and top. I got these in Black and Nude.
Lastly, my favorite dupe of all time is the Kaitlyn Pan flats. These are almost an exact replica of the coveted Valentino flats. I bought these just about a year ago, and I was pretty skeptical about the quality they have. I have been so impressed! I highly recommend these flats! Plus, I get compliments, every. single. time. I wear them!

IT’S BACK!!! I have decided to bring back the Fashion Friday posts! With my life looking a little different now, working full-time every day, you will have to bear with the mirror pics for the time being! I just bought this top (it’s now on sale!) because I thought it was perfect for spring! I had an eyelet top in High School that I wore until it practically fell off of me! I think this is the perfect replacement! Also, I just started trying out the center part, what do you think? Can I pull it off?

I found this dress on a girl’s trip this summer with my mom! Stay tuned to see it again in a different color on Thursday! They both quickly became a favorite of mine, and get worn all the time! I love when I buy something on sale, and realize I’ve worn it enough to have justified the full price!

I got to go in late to the office today and you can totally tell by all of the light streaming through my window!!! These pants are actually jeggings, but with a long top and an inward cuff they totally looked like slacks! I don’t tend to have meetings on Wednesdays so this outfit had me feeling comfy and professional at the same time! I pieced it with my Kaitlyn Pan Rock Stud flats to dress it up a bit!

Praise for a summer roomie who will put up with taking photos for me! lol! My mom actually bought this dress for herself and when she showed it to me I said “Can I get it too?” haha That never happens!
I wore this a few weeks ago to a festival in Memphis, and it was the perfect summer dress! Bonus: it has pockets!!! I think all dresses should have pockets! Girls need to tuck their lipstick away somewhere! This dress was perfectly breezy and enjoyable to be outside and it’s light-weight so you can wear it in the heat and not swelter!

This week was a bit unusual because Monday and Tuesday were Tee Shirt days while I set up for the St. Jude Jam- Half pairing party for the FedEx St. Jude Classic, half music jam session with 6 incredible artists! It was unbelievable to be on the planning team and see such a large scale event be implemented!
So, no pics for Monday and Tuesday Tee Shirt wear, but I have my Jam outfit, and Wednesday and Thursday outfits for you!

This was a short week at work with the Memorial Day Holiday and my off day! I took my free day to visit a few museums around the city I knew no one else would want to go with me! lol the Cotton Museum and the Firehouse Museum!
Thursday, all of the interns were invited to the Memphis Redbird’s Baseball game- it was a fun time to meet more interns and get to know the ones I was already friends with better! Let’s just say we have officially reached the “be sassy” with one another phase!
This week is pretty busy with a major event on Tuesday night and prepping for a patient event next Monday, but I love it more and more every day!
